When war and torture were officially authorized and people worldwide learned that torture guidelines were present in military field manuals, the US lost face. This revelation caused citizens working or traveling outside the US to face harsh treatments. Moreover criminals the world over started adopting torture and hostility as their role model to follow, but do US citizens really care?

Share your felt needs in a time when few care. What will it take for our democracy to survive? Will we commit ourselves and challenge one another to keep our country and our way of life alive by locking arms and marching together? Many say, "I see no way to be an influence but over 43-48 % do not vote." Others are beginning to say, "we feel it's time to lock arms and march in the streets to take back the freedoms guaranteed by the US Constitution."

How do you feel? Do you agree that too few care? Surely it is not productive to sit back in fear. If you agree or disagree, say so. After all, if we thought the US way of life might be stopped by our lack of concern, would we merely sit back and do nothing? Isn't it time to be peacemakers and to dialogue rather than incriminate our fellow man? If you agree or don't agree that fascism has been the outcome of an acquisant society, please comment.

If you have no opinion on how fascist many in the US have become, read the Publius essays found on http://liberaldemocracyalliance.org, then come back here and comment.
